Zep Provides Jaeger LeCoultre the Concept for a One Off Piece Reverso for its 80th Anniversary

Jaeger LeCoultre have been at it for longer than one can remember. The watch lovers particularly are enthralled by their mastery of the craft and the creativity they bring to the design and finish of their luxury watches. Reverso timepieces, one of their most renowned and successful creations is celebrating its 80th anniversary and Jaeger LeCoultre is continuing to release a series of master watches to celebrate the occasion. All the designs and creations in the series have been talked about and appreciated by the watch lovers.

The latest offering by Jaeger LeCoultre in the series is a concept by master cartoonist Philippe Chappuis, also known as Zep. This particular model looks distinct because of the remarkable enameling on the casing. Jaeger LeCoultre has mastered some very specialized skills that go into the making of a fine luxury watch, including enameling. This timepiece conceptualized by Zep features a Pink Gold enameling on the casing, and also the dial. The dial has been given a youthful look by engraving on it a colored cartoon character by ZEP.

The engraving is of the highest order and truly brings to life the character called Titeuf. The watchmaker’s logo is also engraved on the back along with another monogram of this cartoon. Zep on his part, was thrilled to have slipped Titeuf into a Reverso and on a lighter note said that he hoped that the character will not impede the legendary precision of the Reverso. This creation is a one off piece and will be auctioned at the Artcurial Auction in Paris. The proceeds from the auction will be donated for a cause.
