Van Cleef & Arpels are some of the most important jewellery makers in the world, and there are good reasons for their popularity. They are not only exquisite, but also one of the names in luxury business that have lasted for almost a century or more. This time around, they have launched the Papillons Line in Hong Kong. Papillon is a reference to butterflies, and the jewellery in this line seem to be inspired from these beautiful insects.
In fact Van Cleef & Arpels had used butterfly design back in 1920s. The idea was to create something that resembled both the butterflies and flowers, and thus create a unique combination of great designs and luscious jewellery. Cherry Blossom clip, which features petals in white gold, and yellow and white diamonds is one of the most beautiful in the line.
If you would like something different, you could also try the pink cyclamens in platinum, pink gold, emeralds and pink sapphires which are pretty decent to begin with. Vanessa, Brocatelle d’or, Bloomfidia and Aliris species of butterflies are all pieces of jewellery as well, and it is almost like an ode to the species of butterflies, who flit from one flower to another. If you are a butterfly, or a butterfly collector, you should get these amazing jewels.
