Vacation With Your Canine Friend At UK’s Most Dog-Friendly Hotels

Taking man’s best friend on vacation is not the easiest of tasks. Moreover, the prestigious Crufts Dog Show begins from 10 March and is sure to send show dog owners scrambling for hotel bookings. Luckily, several properties of the Fine Individual Hotels group welcome our four-legged friends.

The Combe House Devon near Exeter is a case in point. This Elizabethan Manor has a special offer for doggy-owners until March end. Guests who book a dinner B&B stay up will also get a free stay for their beloved pooch and a complimentary ‘doggie room pack’. Guests can also request for a ‘Canine Survival Box’ if required. The rates start from £199 per night for two for a double/twin room.

On the banks of Lake Windmere stands Linthwaite House which offers two ground floor rooms for guests with dogs. The rooms provide direct access to the Linthwaite House grounds and gardens. There’s plenty of opportunity to go exploring. Here, a B&B double room for two costs £165 and £9 per canine guest.

Spread across four acres in County Durham is the Headlam Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf which provides plenty of dog walking area, easy access to picturesque villages like Middleton-in-Teesdale and no extra charge for guests’ dogs in the mews bedrooms. Prices start from £120 per night for a B&B double room for two.

With prices starting from £140 a night for a B&B double room for two, Dartmouth’s The Royal Castle Hotel is perfect for a quick coastal vacation. And for an extra charge of £15, the hotel will add dog beds and treats within the room.

Finally, there is The Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Lancashire, charging upwards of £140 a night for two for a B&B double room. Dogs are admitted in designated rooms for an additional £30.
