Swarovski Elements Ropes In Top Designers For Crystal-Studded Menswear
Whoever said men don’t like bling have another think coming. Sure, bling may not be a conscious choice for most men, but Swarovski could be en route to changing that. In a world where stereotyping is becoming increasingly difficult, men might soon fall in love with crystal if the jewellery giant has its way.
Swarovski Elements has been working with sixteen top designers to create a menswear line that is high on bling. Most men might shy away from the idea of all things shiny, but there are big names working on this menswear line. Swarovski Elements has roped in high-end brands like Roberto Cavalli, Dior Homme and Emporio Armani to help create the upcoming 16-piece collection. On another note, given that Emporio Armani has tennis ace and hottie Rafael Nadal as the face of its new international campaign, might we see him in a Swarovski-studded suit?
There are other big names from the industry as well, including Hugo Boss, Marni and Gianfranco Ferré. Showcasing a pair of crustal encrusted brogues will be Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo. Also on the cards is a tuxedo embellished with crystals. This one is by Brioni.
Barely a few weeks ago, Swarovski made news for its surreal video ad campaign being showcased on digital billboards in New York City. Now, all eyes will be on the upcoming fashion show in Milan’s Palazzo Clerici which is scheduled for Saturday. Whether the Swarovski Elements’ fashion show will change the regular Joe’s mindset about wearing crystal is questionable. However, there is no doubt that the show will be a glittering affair.
