If everything goes right then the Guinness World Book will record its very first entry of the most expensive wedding of a dog in New York. At New York’s Jumeirah Essex House Hotel located near Central Park, Wendy Diamond’s dog, named Baby Hope Diamond after the owner, married Chilly Pasternak, a Virginia Poodle. The wedding was one of its kind with all the fanfare and some sumptuous meal worth $5000 for over 250 guests. It has to be an expensive and fancy wedding for after all Baby Hope Diamond belongs to Wendy Diamond who is also a television personality and an animal rights activist.
This was however not the first dog wedding for we have some canines walk the aisle in the past. Not very long ago, Louise Harris, a dog lover and the founder of Diva Dogs in Britain organised a very expensive wedding for her dog which was worth a whopping £20,000. Over 80 guests were invited to Lola’s wedding with the most ugly dog in Britain named Mugly, a Chinese Crested. Dogs have also made quite a name for themselves in the world of luxury and the richest dog belonged to Leona Helmsley, a New York hotel heiress. It was rich not the dog actually had $12 million in his bank accountas his owner had passed on all her wealth to her cute li’l dog. Well, if there’s a hotel then there also has to be a pet spa, which was launched by the daughter of the Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone. Travel with pets was also made easy with the launch of an interesting website which gave you interesting alternatives on how you can travel with your pet.

The Dog Wedding of the Year
The fairytale dog wedding was part of an online contest launched by Wendy Diamond, to find a partner for Baby Hope after she learnt her beloved dog, Lucky dies of cancer some time ago.
The new partner will clearly become the brand ambassador for Animal Fair, an organisation she launched after she adopted Lucky way back in 1999.
For the wedding Baby Hope wore a custom made $6000 wedding dress.
The wedding was worth a whopping $250,000!
The proceeds from this wedding event will go to the Lucky Diamong Critical Care Ward located at the Humane society of New York.
The wedding was attended by some well known faces like the daughter of Ralph Lauren along with the owners of Dylan’s Candy bar.
Wedding planner Harriette Rose Katz was roped in to organise the big day. Rose has also been a wedding planner for diamond and Billy Baldwin.
Flowers came in from Floralia Decorators from New York.
The cake was baked by ‘Cake Boss’ Buddy Valastro’s bakery in New Jersey.
The very idea of the wedding was to continue the legacy of Lucky Diamond which focussed on animal rights and rescue.
Lucky was also the most photographed dog and has appeared with many celebrities on magazines and newspapers!
