Uunique, a UK brand has launched its London Lotus iPhone case with a party at Kensington Rood Gardens. Actress Mischa Barton played the hostess and unveiled the most expensive case. Ms Barton has an ongoing collaboration with the company and has designed a whole new collection of cases for them. The occasion saw the unveiling of the collection by Mischa Barton which includes very many less expensive designs.
Barton Designed Something Functional and Fashionable
The London Lotus iPhone case is emblazoned with 18 carat rose gold, pink and white diamonds and carries a price tag of a whopping $302,985. The launch party for the expensive case was suitably grand and Mischa Barton, the star of ‘The OC’ was at hand to present the blingy accessory. Uunique had approached the actor for a collaboration and she had agreed immediately as she found it interesting to design something that is both functional and fashionable. Ms Barton was dressed for the occasion and came in a long maxi dress with sparkling gems studded on it for design and a brilliant headband that enhanced her overall look.
Uunique by Mischa Cases Start at $40
Barton has taken a fashionable approach to designing cases for the iPad and iPhone. She has used different kinds of fake metals and Perspex, fake wood, cork and plastics to come up with interesting designs. She has even used different fabrics and incorporated different types of embroidery and embossing on them. Barton was very excited about the creative experience. She admitted at the launch party that she is quite a science geek and loved new innovations. She said that she wouldn’t call herself a tech nut but liked gadgets and whenever she came across a new gadget she enjoyed playing with them. The collection designed by her is rather inexpensive as the ‘Uunique by Mischa’ cases start at $40. The most expensive piece in the collection is a Swarovski crystal encrusted model which is priced at $960.
