The first thing that comes into mind after seeing just a few snaps of Marrakech’s legendary La Mamounia hotel is Wow! I mean seriously, this is one gorgeous hotel. If you are one of the many people who are just besotted by the sheer beauty and class of this place, then I have some great news for you. This place recently reopened after undergoing a US$176 million restoration.
The hotel is pretty big housing 136 rooms, 71 suites, three traditional Moroccan riad villas, four restaurants, five bars and a great 2,500 square meter spa based on Moroccan and Oriental traditions. The hotel is surrounded by 20 acres of lush gardens and its renovations took almost three years to complete. La Mamounia is recently being promoted in Asia.
General Manager, Didier Picquot said: “Asia is a relatively unknown market for us, but we know its people have increasing means and desire to explore the world’s most wondrous places – and Marrakech is surely up there on the list of “must see” places. The newly revamped La Mamounia is reason in itself for travelers to head for Morocco to experience its unusual culture and myriad attractions. We are confident that in the years to come we will be welcoming more and more Asian guests.”
