Los Angeles To Host 4-Day Food Festival THE TASTE During The Labor Day Weekend

Los Angeles is gearing up for the food event of the year. This September, 200 of the city’s most well-known restaurants will be joining hands for The Los Angeles Times and Food & Wine’s THE TASTE, a culinary festival spread over four days. Scheduled for the Labor Day weekend, from 2 September to 5 September, Los Angeles’ top chefs are set to cook up a storm. Whether you are an amateur chef, a full-blown food critic or just a die-hard foodie, you are going to love all the events lined up for this food fest.

There will be cooking demos, restaurant tastings, and even seminars. Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles have been chosen as the venues for this event. If you fancy yourself a budding bartender, attend the “Art of Mixing”, which offers an introduction to the art of creating exciting drinks. If you are a fashionista with a healthy appetite, head for “Fashion Bites Brunch”, a mix of fashion and food on Rodeo Drive.

The other events include “Burgers & Beer”, “Taco Tequila Tryst” and “Secrets from the Kitchen & Cellar”. Ticket prices start from $139.95 for individual events. If you are in the mood to spend, try the “Ultimate Indulgence Package” which includes several of the featured events for $814.95. Tickets are available online on THE TASTE’s website. Part of the ticket sales will be donated to charity.

The featured chefs include big names like Ray Garcia, Roy Choi and Duff Goldman. Restaurants like Bouchon, The Foundry on Melrose and The Misfit will not only be participating, but also revealing some of their culinary secrets. If you love food, you cannot afford to miss this food festival.
