Carlos Pellas Endeavours to Put Nicaragua on the Tourist Map with His Gorgeous Mukul Resort & Spa

Nicaragua isn’t the first place that comes to mind when thinking of a
great vacation spot. But that may change soon, thanks to the Mukul
Resort & Spa established by one of the richest person of Latin
America, Don Carlos Pellas. His family’s roots goes back to the 19th
century in Nicaragua. Located at the scenic Guacalito de la Isla, this
luxury boutique resort and spa will open its doors to guests in
February 2013. Don Carlos Pellas’ vision to create a world class
resort in his native land has cost $250 million. But he hopes that a
lot more will come back in return to him and the people of Guacalito
de la Isla through this resort and spa. Mukul, which means ‘secret’ in
the ancient Mayan language, truly sounds like a spectacular offering
to tourists from around the globe.

The Best Talent Has Been Roped in for This Project
Carlos Pellas isn’t the first billionaire to invest in hotel
properties. With the tourist market growing every year, this area
offers great return prospects. Located on the Nicaragua’s Emerald
Coast, this 1,670-acre private beach community represents the
foresight of Carlos Pellas, as Central America can be the next tourist
hotspot if developed properly. The best in the field have been roped
in for this multi-million dollar project. HKS Hill Glazier Architects
are the main architects, while Angel Vezina Stewart has designed the

There Will Be 23 Bohios or Tree Houses in the Resort
Very few properties, if any in the world can boast of a 4-mile
white-sand beach or a 3-mile trail bang in between lush green coastal
forest. An interesting addition will be the ‘land of lakes and
volcanoes’, an upcoming tourist destination in the area. Another
unique feature of the resort will be their 23 Bohios that are similar
to tree houses, perched on the hillside above Playa Manzanillo,
offering an enviable view of the ocean and the forest. These lovely
houses have floor-to-ceiling glass and a wooden deck with a plunge
pool and a veranda with a daybed (This sure sounds like a nature
lovers dream house).

The Tariff Includes Breakfast, Lunch and Transfer From Airport
When the Pellas family is not residing at Mukul, guests can live in
the suites of Casona Don Carlos, their 20,000 sq. ft. 6 bedroom
oceanfront home. The rates here will start from $550 per double per
night, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, open bar during daytime and
transportation to and from Managua International Airport. The Mukul
Resort & Spa definitely sounds and looks like one of the best
properties about to open in the near future, and hopefully Don Carlos
Pellas is able to achieve success in his latest endeavor.
