WISeKey is a company that is teaming up with big brands like Hublot, Chris & Chris, Dior and Chloe among others to protect them from the big, bad world of expert counterfeiters. Alongside its anti-counterfeit functions (and as a result of it), WISeKey will help boost sales for its associated brands. In addition, the firm will be creating a private social network so that fans and the brand can build a closer relationship.
Under WISeAuthentic, WISeKey offers brands a protection against pirates in the luxury branding world. To achieve this, the company has developed a Smart Card that holds an electronic guarantee certificate with access to the item identity code. With this Smart Card, one can exclusively access a reserved area on websites within the luxury world. Using this Smart Card, buyers and sellers can find out whether or not a given product is genuine. Luxury branding is really important in the high-end brand scene. And this technology reduces loss of sales to counterfeits considerably.
On a more specific note, WISeKey is teaming up with luxury garment firm Chris & Chris to create an exclusive social network, the ChrisandChris.com Social Network. This exercise in digital branding is set to provide identity verification and authentication on the digital forum. The ChrisandChris.com Social Network will also be working on key events and will be developed as an alternative luxury branding exercise. This is by no means the first of its kind however. Hublot has already walked this path with its Hublotista.com portal.
