One of the most highly successful and creative independent fashion labels, Vena Cava, has now finally ventured into the world of eCommerce, as the label has launched an all new website aimed at providing the consumers with ability to shop online. Vena Cava was established by designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, when they couldn’t find a place to slot to showcase their collection at the Parsons School of Design senior fashion show. The newly launched label soon grabbed the attention of some of the biggest names in the fashion industry such as the likes of Vogue and Council of Fashion Designers of America.
The all new eCommerce portal from Vena Cava apart from the standard catalog section, also consists of the label’s clothing and accessory lines adorned by the friends of the designers, who modeled for the website. The site proudly showcases the Vena Cava Spring 2011 collection that is comprised of ‘nerd goddess’, ‘black tie Che Guevara’ and ‘French student’. Vena Cava has also added an innovative spin to the new eCommerce portal by adding a section labeled, ‘Vena Cava Girls’ where in the design house is selling off vintage goods accumulated from various garage sale events, while mentioning numerous tracks for the music enthusiasts in the Vena Cava blog.
