Tivoli Village Complex Becomes the First Major Project to Open in Las Vegas Since 2007

One of the major real estate development projects that had got stuck in the deep economic recession was the Tivoli Village shopping and entertainment center in the North West of Las Vegas. It is a premium project being developed on the 29 acre site which was once a throwaway piece of land owned by the Peccole family. The opening of the Tivoli Village was being postponed since 2007 and in fact the work on the project had been suspended at the peak of the economic crisis. But it is a sign of improving economic conditions that it is finally opening and it will be the first new major retail development in Las Vegas since Town Square was completed in 2007 on the south Strip.

The prestigious $700 million project was being developed jointly by Executive Home Builders and IDB Group who have several other large projects to their credit in Las Vegas. Tivoli Village will add 225,000 square feet of upscale shopping and dining and 145,000 square feet of premium office space to the infrastructure in Las Vegas. Patrick Done, Executive Vice President of the project was very proud of the final product which has not been compromised at any level despite the inordinate delay. He admitted that it is difficult to dell a new project but was happy to share that 72% of the retail space and 55% of the office have been leased out.

The Tivoli Village will have a healthy mix of retailers includes luxury goods merchants, one-of-a-kind boutiques, health and beauty shops and a collection of eclectic restaurants. The residents in this side of town were also happy that they would have a shopping and dining choice on their side of the town and it would not be necessary to go to the Strip for everything. Charming Charlie, Bobby Wheat Gallery, Jeff White Custom Jewelry, Obika eyewear collection ROC Republic of Couture high-end designer brands are some of the retailers who will become functional with the opening but the numbers are expected to grow fast after the opening. On the dining side Brio Tuscan Grille, Petra Greek Taverna would be holding fort at the opening with their large settings and authentic Italian and Greek cuisine.
