The Oberoi Mumbai All Set To Reopen With Revitalized Vigor After 2008 Terrorist Attacks

Two years ago, the world became witness to one of the most heinous terror attacks on Indian soil, when terrorist elements made their way into two of the most iconic hospitality venues in the financial capital of the country, Mumbai. On November 26th, 2008, The Oberoi Mumbai and the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower became the venue for a major and prolonged hostage crisis, that claimed the lives of 163 people, including security personnel. However, as time is the biggest healer, so is true in the case of the The Oberoi Mumbai, that is now gearing up for a revitalized launch on Saturday, April 24th, 2010.

Mumbai has been the center of terror related attacks for years and yet, the city is known for its resilient spirit and a ‘never give up’ attitude, that is now reflected into the highly renovated and remodeled Oberoi Mumbai. This luxury hotel has reportedly made extensive use of white Thassos marble, in an effort to cast away the dark memories of the attacks and has also initiated numerous technological updates to the guest rooms. Then there comes the security arrangements, that have been given the management’s undivided attention, in an effort to keep such disasters from happening again.
