The Global Hotel Alliance Launches GHA Discovery Program to Provide Local Experiences

The Global Hotel Alliance, GHA is today the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands. The member brands of hotels and resorts deliver global recognition and amazing local experiences in some of the most exciting locales of the world. You could experience the life of a maharaja at a place hotel, or get a ticket to watch Chelsea FC play at Stamford Bridge in London or view the world of Ocean Park’s pandas from the inside, in Hong Kong. They have now launched GHA Discovery.

The Discovery program will deliver recognition and experience-based rewards across 12 brands and nearly 300 hotels globally. The program will provide over one thousand exceptional Local Experiences which have been designed by the local hotel employees to provide exclusive access to off-the-beaten path activities around the world. It goes without saying that under the program members also enjoy benefits during their hotel stays. There are three levels of privileges that guests can enjoy depending on the number on nights and different levels have been named Gold, Platinum and Black.

The local experiences will vary according to the level. A guest qualifies for the first level after just one stay at a member hotel and can look forward to backwater cruise in Kerala, or a tour of world’s largest gold vault in New York or a trishaw ride in Singapore. The guests who qualify for the highest level can opt for private cruises in the US on a former Presidential yacht or go for a helicopter tour over the LA skyline or visit the Microsoft Studios in Seattle and create a customized ringtone.
