Sheraton Colonia Golf & Spa Resort Throws Open an Uruguayan Splendor

Ultra modern Sheraton Colonia Golf & Spa Resort is just a contrast to the historically significant old Colonia Del Sacramento. It is a world heritage site in Uruguay. It is situated on the beaches of the Rio de la Plata close to many interesting museums within five kilometers from the resorts namely Museo  Espanol,  Museo  Portugues  and Museo Municipal. Guests can relax at the spa, lounge around attractive pool and play golf across the water. The lobby greets guests with expansive lawns and pools.

It would be delightful to sit in front of a huge fireplace on a cold day. The fresco seating with views of the Rio de la Plata, seafood prepared on wood burning grill, selection from world class one hundred and twenty wines are part of a great treat. The arches of windows and stone walls give a romantic ambience. The outdoor pools with thatched sunshades, attendants with fresh towels, nearby a small river beach, Salsa lessons or other activities near the pool, luxury spa, Asian decor with candles, all creates a tranquil atmosphere.

The Sheraton Colonia’s spa with seventeen treatment rooms under the guidance of well trained staff offers weight loss and wellness packages,   yoga classes, fully equipped advanced gym, aerobic centre, steam bath, sauna, hydro massage with a Jacuzzi and indoor seawater swimming.  The Real Golf course features views of the Rio de la Plata with a par thirty five, nine–hole course.  Children also provided with a special program and a game room. There are ninety two rooms, each is accommodated with king size beds, pillows, duvets with balcony, river views and plasma TV. The published rates are between $165 and $275.
