‘Sex Sells’ is a very well known phase, though I wouldn’t like to use the term well tested with it. But still, it wont be completely wrong to say that certain amount of titillation does help in attracting some attention. Its there on TV in commercials for you name it, anything. But I never thought I would associate this ‘sex sells’ thing in real estate! But these days everything seems to be possible.
Who made this thing possible? Well, it was the real estate agent couple, Nick and Miriam Peters. Their listings usually contain images of real estate agents and models in the houses that are up for sale, wearing lingerie, lying on the bed or even the bathtub. This in turn has made people call them the “sexy” real estate agents. But these guys do not like this name one bit. They’d rather call themselves “lifestyle” real estate agents.
Miriam, who is the head of Peters & Associates, a six-person brokerage in the Charlotte, N.C., area that specializes in luxury properties defends herself: “That’s how we’ve been portrayed in news articles. They’ve spun it as ‘sex sells,’ but that isn’t exactly what our campaign is about. It’s supposed to be about lifestyle. It was misconstrued.” Well I am not sure how many would agree with that.
