This year has seen many surprising yacht designs. Another to join the queue is ‘Sahodara’, the 92-meter super yacht designed by Jorge Jabor Pinheiro. Designed keeping two owners in mind, the super yacht enables two master cabins at the end of each deck that receive the same forward facing panoramic view when rotated.
The spacious yacht has room for 12 guests that includes owners and additionally 27 crew members. Two master’s suites are included at the end of the deck that are both able to rotate allowing both sides to face forward as desired.
Pinheiro commented that it was mainly the wish of the two owners that each room would be capable of having forward view of the ocean while on board. The rotation imparts different profiles to the whole yacht that makes it a very intriguing. Pinheiro further clarified that the top deck would only turn one way to complete the 180-degree swivel and operation could only be achieved when docked or traveling at low speeds.
Sahodara is powered with two Rolls-Royce mermaid engines that help reach maximum speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. The asymmetric design of both interior and exterior inspired by layered architecture and topography models created a ripple like effect.
