Rolls Royce Reaches Out To The Thriving City Of Punjab, India


One of the foremost names in the luxury automobiles, Rolls Royce, is now all set to head towards the economically vibrant region of Punjab in India as the company is said to be in the plans of opening an all new dealership in either Ludhiana or Chandigarh by the end of year 2011. The Indian luxury market has been witnessing a continuous rise in the spending habits of the consumers and with a booming economy, the luxury car market is proving to be one of the most lucrative verticals in the country. The announcement of the new Rolls Royce showroom was made by the manager-sales, Rolls Royce Car Motors, New Delhi, Pankaj Sharma, who also stated that the luxury car behemoth is aiming to sell as many as 25 Rolls Royce models by the year’s end in Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana market.

The Indian luxury car market has already attracted some of the biggest names in the luxury automobile vertical, such as the likes of Aston Martin, which had recently opened an all new dealership in Mumbai, alongside Porsche and Mercedes Benz, while the company also unfurled its plans of launching a brand new showroom in New Delhi as well. Rolls Royce made the announcement during a two day exhibition in Punjab, wherein the company showcased two of its bestselling models, Rolls Royce Phantom and Rolls Royce Ghost. This exhibition organized for the first time in Punjab will also feature a plethora of domestic and international luxury brands featuring a variety of luxury products and services, including luxury watches, jewelry, wines, jets, yachts and helicopters. The exhibition will witness participation from some of the most renowned luxury brands, such as the likes of  The Sachdev Group DVF, Halston Heritage, Lanvin and Alexander McQueen, Private Aviation (Jets),Yachts and Boats, Luxury mobile phones and Pens Bird Group —Porsche Design.

According to Upasna Chugh (CEO, 1 Management Entertainment Pvt Ltd),

“Chandigarh in our opinion is one of the most buoyant markets when it comes to lifestyle-oriented products. You have people who have disposable income and the intent to spend that money. It is an extremely important and a fast-growing market. In fact in terms of per capita consumption, it is one of the highest in the country. We hope to bring to the people of this region for the first time ever, a complete 360 degree lifestyle extravaganza for all age group, who are style conscious and do not mind spending a bit extra for that.”
