Reinaldo Laurenco’s New Collection Inspired by Elizabeth Taylor

Reinaldo Laurenco’s strikingly beautiful collection called ‘Diamond and Dogs’ was the theme for this summer’s 2012 Sao Paulo Fashion Week. You could see the inspiration from Elizabeth Taylor’s Baby boomers and Gilded Age. Reinaldo Lourenco was the centre of attraction on the clothing, waist bust area and brightness of diamonds. The construction mastery over the fabrics, feminine delicacy accentuated with the materials like garbadine , satin, cotton, organza, tulle, and leather added to the overall appeal.

Gown and the top looked like a piece together and were made to look randomly strewn. He made the entire collection look more ornate with pink purple, blue, green and white with more importance given to the construction of corset with diamonds, narrow waist, mini-tailed pants and long tails. He had taken all the fasionistas, buyers, socialites and fashion journalists to the glamour world when the light was faded away you were left with your own fantasy.

The designer features mostly sexy, chic and beautiful dresses. He prominently focussed on bust, transparent fabric in the back, wonderful cut-outs and shoulders. The last, he engaged spectators with gorgeous evening dresses, the most eye catching piece of the entire collection. The top of the dress was  made to look like cats with shoulder pads. These dresses placed emphasis on the bra dedicated to Liz Taylor. He was inspired by Taylor’s cat on a hot tin roof as well as breasts and waists to enhance the sparkle of diamond.  Lourenco’s mind-blowing show of the season featured floral, neon colours, and stripes.  He was portraying the 1950’s successful females with modern look.
