Seems that the Roslin Hotel is earning a lot of dough, it is planning to cough up £750,000 to build a conference and function suite to cater the demands arising due to its growing popularity.
The Regis group, which is the owner of the Roslin hotel, has already submitted the application to the South end Council. It wants to convert the house at 9 Thorpe Esplanade into the conference hall.
They have also contemplated the thought of building a two storied building, which would connect the hotel with the house and would have 8 rooms and 13 parking spaces. Did they suddenly fall short of space or did their business increase overnight?
Jacqui Harris, the sales manager, said “We are hoping to create up to 50 new jobs, which can only be good for the town.” They also believe that the 2012 London Olympics will rope in a lot of business for them, so they are gearing up for the D-day.
Not only this, they actually had 28 rooms in mind, but due to shortage of space they had to settle to 8. They are trying every possible action to increase the number, even now!
