Prince William to Wed Kate Middleton in April Next year

It is final now. Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry on Friday April 29th at Westminster Abbey in London. The Royal Officials confirmed that Prince Williams had proposed to Kate in Kenya during a romantic break in October. The Prince used the diamond and sapphire engagement ring of his mother. Some people were of the opinion  that it was  not very appropriate due to the connotations. But William said that he was keen for his mother to be involved in the ceremony.

The venue for the wedding  would be the Westminster Abbey which has had the honor of hosting the weddings of the Queen and Queen Mother and also the funeral of William’s mother Princess Diana. Guests from around the world are expected to attend and abbey is appropriate as it can accommodate 2,200.

Some people are already hailing it as the most expensive wedding ever. However  Clarence House has repeatedly stated the couple are aware of the relatively straightened times faced by many in the country. The Windsors and the Middletons will bear the bulk of the expenses but the security and the related logistics will be borne by the UK taxpayers. The people are excited and eager to lnow where the couple will go for their honeymoon.
