Posh Couture Takes the Online Route for Expansion

Jewell Green is the wife of former Washington Redskin and Pro Football Hall of Famer Darrell Green and the founder of Posh Couture, which is a fashion boutique based in Ashburn, VA. She launched the Posh Couture brand in 2007 and the encouraging response and the success in three years has made her confident enough to expand her reach beyond the boutique. She has launched the online shopping site for the brand called the shopposhboutique.com.

Green has always tried to bring together a collection of clothing and accessories for women that are different from what you find in more traditional stores. She first tried to expand her reach through shopping parties that grew to fashion and accessories showcases held in hotels throughout the area. Green has now formed an informal group of boutique vendors who help enhance the Posh shopping experience. She chooses everything that goes on the site personally and tries to showcase new products and concepts that she thinks the shopping public will like.

The new online shopping site is like a luxury department store. The sections are well defined. The latest and modern clothing for women are to be found in ‘Posh Girl’. The ‘Baubles’ has pearl and other jewelry pieces. There is a section called ‘Posh Library’ that stocks the latest fashion best sellers. Honesty Jewelry has an independent section for itself. The section ‘Beauty’ is obviously for the beauty products. Stationery by couture greeting card designer Aaron Potts is also available on the site in a separate section.
