We regularly write about luxurious brands, estates, and even destinations, but have we ever thought about what could be “cool”? We all certainly know that what is luxurious need not be cool, and vice versa.
Now, it would be interesting to note that luxury car manufacturer Porsche has been voted as not just the coolest car manufacturer, but the coolest brand in the U.S.A. Porsche has won three Kelley Blue Book 2010 Brand Image Awards, including Coolest Brand, Best Performance Brand and Best Exterior Design in the category of Luxury Brands.
This emphasises the old marketing chant which goes “perception is reality”. However, perceptions keep changing, and there was a time when Mustangs were the coolest brands ever. This time around, Porsche has made it clear that a brand can be luxurious, powerful, strong, and yet cool all at the same time.
Kelley Blue Book surveyed more than 12,000 shoppers in order to come to the conclusion, and this research is widely respected as well. Porsche is a German car maker and they would be given the awards at the New York Auto Show next week, and Porsche would unveil its Cayenne lineup and the new Cayenne S Hybrid.
