The Berkley is one of the most luxurious and loved hotels of Knightsbridge, London. It has added another feather to its cap by opening, recently, Koffmann’s , a new restaurant from the legendary French chef Pierre Koffmann. The historic hotel has been patronized by stylish travelers including Madonna, Gwyneth Palyrow and Naomi Campbell. The hotel overlooking the Hyde Park has been the destination of choice for its celebrity guests.

Chef Koffmann has been known for the finest French cuisine in the UK for over 35 years now. Even Gordon Ramsay is counted amongst his protégés. It is a comeback and a homecoming for the celebrated chef. He used to earlier run the celebrated La Tante Claire at The Berkley until its closing in 2003. The opening of Koffmann’s marks his return.

The new menu, the chef has prepared for the Koffmann’s, predictably has a lot of his signature items. The braised pig’s trotter with morels might make the guests nostalgic about La Tante Claire. But the chef has evolved a more relaxed and informal style while still embracing his classic, provincial, French culinary roots. His Gascon heritage is evident in some of the hearty, robust, seasonal dishes. The new restaurant will offer both lunch and dinner on all the seven days of a week.
