Napa Valley’s Meritage Resort Expands and Renovates Itself

The Meritage Resort, in the Napa Valley is known to offer unforgettable experiences for   business travellers, wine enthusiasts and events managers with its perfect service and expansive meeting space. Hospitality industry has improved a lot after the two years of bad economic conditions, and now the Meritage Report & Spa is being constructed and expanded at a cost of more than $40 million.

The new construction would host a 3 storied block, 12,500 sq/ft indoor conference space, and a space for outdoor meetings, dinners and also parties. The Meritage would feature 165 rooms, 1600 square foot fitness centre Crush, which happens to be a sports bar and a coffee shop.

The increase in the average daily room rates has brightened the company’s revenue expectations for 2010. Moreover, Business and association group bookings for Meritage is improving during October which reveals that things are happening in the right direction for the industry and hotel partners. Mr. Palmer says that when the expansion and construction will be completed in April 2012, it would be an amazing strategy to survive.

20 to 30 more housekeeping employees, staff for maintenance, front desk, foodservice, banquet operations, and fitness centre are all required for the expansion. He said that Irvine-based Pacific Hospitality Group LLC has developed and managed the Meritage which is the one of six luxury hotels.
