Mumbai’s ‘World One’ is soon going to beat the record of the Empire State Building and Q1 the resedential complex in Australia as the world’s tallest building. Costing around $450 million the 117 storey building boasts to use recycled water, harvesting rain water and solar energy and will be completed by 2014. The managing director of Lodha Developers Abhisheck Lodha said that soon Mumbai will be at the forefront of the architectural revolution that is happening across the world.

This building will be built on the grounds of a failed textile company and Lodha believes that it will not suffer the same fate as the few other worlds’ tallest buildings. It has been designed by two U.S firms: Pei Cobb Freed & Partners who helped design Louvre in Paris and Leslie E. Robertson Associates who were behind the old world trade center in New York.

Indian family values have been taken into consideration while designing. All apartment will have balcony as Indians love fresh air. Also the principles of Vastu and Indian Feng-Shui have been used in designing.

The building will have a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea and the city as well and will surely cut down the noise, pollution and heat that Mumbai has to offer. The rooms have already been sold at prices $1.5 million up to $12 million.
