Charles Krug Winery’s historic Carriage House in Napa Valley will witness a wine dinner and charity auction on October 7, 2010. It is a joint initiative of Morton’s The Steakhouse and the Mondavi family for the benefit of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It is going to be a national event as the proceedings will be broadcast simultaneously to 54 Morton’s private Dining Rooms via satellite. The entire Mondavi family including Michael, Tim, Marcia, Peter Sr., Peter Jr., and Marc will all be there to host the event in the evening.
The event will start with an auction of the first ever red wine made by the Mondavi family. The entire family has come together to collaborate and produce a 27 litre bottle of a unique blend of Napa Valley grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot especially for this event. This 27 litre bottle will be auctioned on the Hart Davis Hart Wine Company’s website from October 7 through October 30, 2010. !00% of the proceeds of this auction will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A specially prepared menu will be served to the guests attending the event at all the 54 Morton’s dining rooms. The menu and the wine served will be identical in all the locations. Tickets to attend the event will cost $175 per person.
