President George W Bush has adopted a more or less retired lifestyle and his younger brother seems to be following in his footsteps. The Washington Post has reported that Marvin and Margaret Bush have listed their Alexandria, Virginia home. According to the reports the couple are selling their four bedroom Beaux Arts Colonial near Belle Heaven Country Club and downsizing into a condo. Actually they plan to spend more time at their Florida house.
The house they have listed is a traditional home built on a 1.4 acre lot and has a guest house with a bedroom, media room and office. The house was originally built in 1936 and has 10 inch ceilings, exquisite mouldings and architectural details. The home includes a large master suite, family room and a garden room overlooking the brick patio. The entrance foyer is also special as it features a mural that wraps around several walls.
It is expected that the new buyer could also be from the political fraternity as the hose has been listed for $2.9 million with Jeanne Warner who is the wife of former Senator John Warner. The property has been well lived in and very well maintained at the same time. The neighbourhood, as one would expect, is the best possible in the area.
