Sean John “Diddy” Combs will unveil his own line of bedding in October at Macy’s, the U.S. department store chain. The store had earlier announced exclusive Sean John mens sportswear Holiday collection for 2010 last month. Apparently the Sean John bedding line is inspired by the above said sportswear collection. This means Sean John is all set to become a brand name with an exclusive signature style. It really doesn’t come as a surprise because it is almost becoming a trend to see celebrities branch out into independent ventures be it fashion, home furnishing or real estate.
The exclusive collection will showcase three bedding lines Ciroc, Savilled Row and Alpine which are mainly designed for modern urban spaces with masculine aesthetics in mind. The cotton satin sheets with shades of gray, blues, browns and plum along with mini comforter sets, a comforter and two shams will be on sale at Macy’s stores and also at Sean John flagship store at Fifth Avenue. Revman International is the licensee for this line of bedding.
Only time will tell whether Sean John “Diddy” Combs taste in fashion and home décor will kick a storm or not. But nevertheless this is an excellent marketing strategy to launch line of sportswear as well as bedding line. Fans will certainly endorse the Sean John brand and style statement.
