A new luxury landmark can be found at the premises of an old English shop in the proximity of Vendome which is noted for exclusively luxury watch stores where tourists from Asia and the Middle East, most importantly from China visit the place. The largest shop for luxury watches in the world is going to open in Paris and will be a key shopping destination for local people of Paris as well as tourists.
According to a trade journal, luxury Swiss retail giant star Richemont for luxury watches, owner of high-end brands such as Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget and Cartier, will open the world’s most bombastic shop for expensive watches in Paris. But on the report Richemont has refused to comment anything. But internal memo of Business Montres, which is always well informed, reports that 24,000 square foot shop of a three-storey is slated to open in 2013. According to the France’s La Tribune daily, Richemont would be supposed to pay $94 million for the place. The distributor of Swiss luxury timepieces, Bucherer would be in charge of the shop to run.
Watch-lovers would love to select in the luxury collection of prestigious watches in a relaxed manner. For sophisticated sensuous customer it is an experience to shop in an exclusive, luxurious atmosphere of the boutique,” Bucherer’s management has mentioned in a memo of 30th November. Bernard Fornas of Cartier boss told Les Echos that they would make it convenient to receive huge Asian tourists which are steeply rising, especially Chinese tourists who pay out hundreds of millions of Euros. There may be major changes with appearance of big shops compelling to close down of smaller retailers.
