Luxury Hotels in Shanghai Fare Bad in Terms of the Food Served

A luxury hotel doesn’t become one just because it has all the facilities or because it has all the great services you could ever expect. Any hotel in order to be well appreciated needs to serve excellent food, and that goes without saying. However, luxury hotels in Shanghai though fared well on services, most foreign tourists have rated the city’s hotels’ food as being mediocre or “needing improvement”.

Most luxury hotel guests revealed that they expected better food than they were served with, and also more choice. Overall satisfaction index of the 4 star hotels was 79.76, and that was recorded by the Shanghai Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. However, 5 star hotels fared better with a a score of 4 points higher.

American Customer Satisfaction revealed that the satisfaction index of US hotels was 75, which is still lesser than the hotels of Shanghai. Shanghai has grown from being a large port to being one of the most important cities of the world, and the city really has come a long way. This would also mean that a huge number of foreign business delegates and luxury travellers would visit the city, which requires that the hotels serve better food!
