LuXplosion 2010: Karl Lagerfeld Nominated for German Luxury Leaders

If you were wondering who could be the luxury leader from Germany, it has to be the eccentric Karl Lagerfeld, who has headed Chanel and Fendi. He heads his own design label too, which makes it quite an interesting way to market himself. He was born in Hamburg, Germany and is now based in Paris. He has been known to speak vociferously against though who are against using fur. His idea of fashion has angered, and impressed many people at the same time.

Much of the controversies have in fact helped him to increase his sales, and to project Chanel and his own label as one of the luxury leaders. Not many people can think of anyone other than Karl Lagerfeld when it comes to luxury leaders from Germany. It is very important to note that Germany has a lot of rich people, but it is difficult to call anyone a luxury leader for the country has always been associated with technology and science than luxury.

However, Karl Lagerfeld shows that German luxury is just as good and sharp as its technology and science. Karl Lagerfeld could just be one of the most profound luxury leaders. This is perhaps why we chose them in our list of Luxury Leaders. Click here to vote for this nominee.
