Some people are just gifted with an inherent talent for writing. Denise Reynolds certainly is one of those lucky few. She, at the tender age of nine, got her story published on the front page of the Akron Beacon Journal, her hometown paper and received the princely sum of $50 for it! She however did not pursue literature or writing as an undergraduate. Instead, she studied B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in accounting at the University of Virginia. She then began her business career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen in Atlanta, with a focus on luxury hotel clients.
But all this was a preparation for her later career as a freelance writer, specialising in Culinary Travel and Luxury Lifestyle. She not only is the author of two books, but is also a regular contributor to lifestyle magazines and newspapers. One of her newspaper columns is called Spa Pleasures. Denise also has an advanced level sommelier certification and writes frequently about wines. Infact she was awarded the grand prize by Wines of France for her great work on French wines. These days she serves as Food & Wine Editor of Florida Table Magazine, National Culinary Travel Examiner for Examiner.com, and writes a wine column for GlobalFoodie.
