LuXplosion 2010: Akira Mori Nominated for Japanese Luxury Leaders

Japan is one of the richest nations on earth, and it is also one of the strongest economies. Japanese culture is one that of prudence, minimalism and of course elegance and sophistication. Akira Mori is one of the leading luxury leaders of Japan, and he is rightfully so. The country has always adopted a culture of minimalist elegance because the Japanese culture frowns upon anything that is gaudy.

Similarly it is difficult to come across Japanese luxury leaders who seem or look luxurious. Akira Mori may be one of them too. He was the richest man in the world in 1991 and 1992. He heads the Mori building Company which is one of the most important real estate and building companies in the whole of the world. Japanese luxury could be seen in the way the company builds, and

Akira Mori has been instrumental in doing so. One could try hard to see how the Japanese live luxuriously, but then the country has been an enigma always. Japanese luxury has been an enigma too, and it is only because of people like Akira Mori that we get a glimpse into that enigmatic life. This is perhaps why we chose them in our list of Luxury Leaders. Click here to vote for this nominee.
