You may have heard about convertible cars, but have you ever come across convertible dining tables? Well, acclaimed designer Lee J Rowland has designed what could be the world’s first convertible dining table that is not just a piece of furniture but a statement of lifestyle.
The elegant dining table transforms into a classic gaming surface! In order to furnish the beautiful curved table surround, Lee used vitreous enamel and it is a first in the industry. After many months of painstaking research, he finally arrived at the enamel which had an acceptably high standard.
Lee J Rowland used techniques which he has pioneered earlier himself, in order to cut and process enamel, in order to create an enamelled steel that was unheard of until now. Vitreous enamel can’t be worn out easily and belongs to the same class as ceramics.
The ultra-slim skeletal frame through which the table centre gyroscopically rotates in the table drive system has been created with the help of a patented motor technology which was provided by Maxon. Thanks to the Collingwood RGB L.E.D strip, the subtle lighting inlay can be fixed, or you could choose it to hypnotically transition through 27 different colours. The tables can be used for the purposes of poker, and also gaming. Of course how can we forget an elegant dinner on this beautiful table?
The LED Neon diffuser colour change strip can be programmed and the colour can be fixed. The table has been constructed with the help of aluminium, steel, black 8mm tempered glass, aeropanel, vitreous enamel outer, and the icing on the cake is the cushioned upholstered baize gaming surface.
The table weighs 190 kilos and will be supplied within the U.K. in 10 – 12 weeks. If you reside outside the U.K., you may want to contact the designer himself. The table measures 2800mm x 1250mm x 750mm. It costs £38,000 and is worth every shilling you may spend on it!
