Well, it is true! Elitist fashion brands are changing language and reaching out to the world through their exclusive collection for global chain of retailers. Paris couture legend Lanvin has unveiled its latest collection which is expected to go on sale today in some 200 H & M stores all over the world. Sweden retailer H & M is all set to be biggest fashion outlet by tying up with this exclusive brand. I guess one cannot deny the power of masses and fashion has to descend from ramp walks to the streets for the true style revolution.
The top brand Lanvin has already pre-launched the special holiday collection which is going to hit the stores through a preview catwalk, online film and a website. Sofia Coppola and Andie MacDowell were the star attractions of this pre-launch which was held in New York.
This is certainly not the first instance where high end fashion brand clothes will be sold in retail stores. Apparently way back in 1990s Azzedine Alaia had designed a collection for Paris discount store. H & M too has tried to tie-up with top fashion brands in the past. So it does seem a win-win situation for both. The real winners of course are the people who wanted to wear clothes of top fashion brands but couldn’t due to lack of availability.
