Uganda is not really the place that you would imagine would have a great luxury resort. The country is marred with violence against LGBTs, and hence homophobia is rampant in the Christian dominated country. However, strangely there are also a few luxury resorts which can be visited by business travellers who need to visit Uganda for official purposes.
One such place is the Lake Victoria Serena Resort which feels like you are in the middle of Tuscany in Italy. Unfortunately, you would be in the middle of a homophobic Uganda. The resort has 124 guest rooms and each room comes with an amazing private balcony. You could view the stunning Lake Victoria and later during the year they would also incorporate a magnificent golf course.
With an amazing selection of restaurants and bars, a spa and gymnasium this could just be the best place to stay at, when you are in Uganda. There would be the American consultancy Golfplan, the Lake Victoria Serena Championship Golf Course which is already attracting enquiries. The hotel-cum-resort is located 15km from Kampala city at Kigo.
