Malibu has been off news lately and the property segment in the sun kissed resort has been quite lethargic. However, with the recession settling down, the property market is slowly getting revived and luxury market too is waking from a state of deep slumber.
Interior designer Kelly Wearstler and her property-developer husband Brad Korzen sure know that the timing is right, for they have listed their Malibu Beach House for $21.9M. The 6,000 square foot property comes with six bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths.
It is located on the Pacific Coast Highway, on a 72-foot stretch of prime Carbon Beach. They bought the house in 2004 for $8.5 million. Douglas-fir wood cabinetry and Calcutta Gold finishes, muted pastel Cippolino marble, spacey-geometric doodling, 1960s French chandeliers, and chunky staircases are the highlights of this house.
Kelly Wearstler herself has designed the property and is thus a great way to attract attention from prospective buyers. She has also designed hotels and among them are Viceroy Properties in Santa Monica, Palm Springs, Miami and a new one in Anguilla. It would be amazing to live in a house that is located on the Malibu beach.
