Jimmy Choo is best known for its beautiful shoes and clutches. They have recently brought out a limited collection of angel and devil clutches. These minaudière clutches have been designed by the famous visual design artist from New York, Rob Pruitt. Jimmy Choo has roped him in due to his 1980’s colorful pop-art style. He has helped out with their Spring/Summer 2013 capsule cruise collection as well. The panda clutches are the designer brands signature style, and Pruitt has added his own whimsical touch to bring out two versions: one is the angel and the other one the devil. Both versions as you can see are ridiculously cute.
To maintain its exclusivity, only 14 pieces of each version will be sold, and the price tag will be a hefty $15,000. The hardwork put into making these clutches is evident from the fact that more than 11,000 Swarovski crystals have been hand applied meticulously. It comes with a gold chain shoulder strap that can be detached according to your whim. Like any limited edition designer product, even these clutches are numbered and embossed with the Jimmy Choo logo. It also has the signature of the designer, Pruitt. Since, these adorable clutches are no less than works of art, they will come in a calfskin box with a customised leather bed that will allow the owners to showcase them.
If you thought at $15,000 a piece, these clutches were expensive, think again. The most expensive purse in the world till date is the Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse, which is valued at $3.8 million. This heart shaped bag has been made by 18K gold and has been embellished with 4,500 diamonds totalling 381.92 carats. These days even exorbitantly priced bags are selling like hotcakes. A case in example is the $39,000 worth alligator backpack brought out by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s fashion brand, The Row. I wouldn’t be surprised if these clutches fly off the shelf too.
