Intercontinental Hotel Group Geared up to Open New Hotels in Russia, Asia and Europe

A new year always brings optimism and new plans with it. With the economic crisis behind us the travel and tourism has witnessed a significant rebound. The hotel groups are working hard on opening new, more luxurious properties around the world. Asia and Europe are the focus for chains like Marriott, Starwood and Hilton. The Intercontinental Hotel Group, this year, hopes to open new hotels in Russia, Portugal and London.

Intercontinental Moscow Tverskaya is scheduled to open in July this year. Situated on the site of the former Minsk Hotel the new luxuriously developed hotel will have guest rooms with hardwood parquet flooring, built-in TV in both the bedroom and bathroom. Intercontinental Porto Palacios das Cardosas ,  Portugal is also getting ready for a July opening. The hotel occupies what was once the Palace of the Cardosas, located on the main square of Porto. The hotel will have 105 guest rooms and Penthouse suits.

InterContinental London Westminster, England would be opening by the end of the year or early next year. It will occupy the former Queen Anne’s Chambers, originally built in the 19th century. This 254 room hotel is the second property for Intercontinental in London. The location is just a short walking distance to major landmarks.
