Indian Origin Painter Swipes Credit Card to Buy Bentley

Painters usually make a lot of money if they are successful, but Indian painters are not known to make a lot of money. While Indian art is not exactly valued in the International art market, there can be a few freak incidents in which certain Indian origin painters make a lot of money. One such guy is M.F. Husain.

Though an Indian by birth, he recently became a Qatari citizen as Indians chose to drive away the painter citing religion as a reason. His paintings were controversial in India and since the majority were upset because of his paintings, he chose to live in exile and finally embraced Qatari citizenship. He also sells paintings for millions of dollars and the recent one at Christie’s auction fetched a good $2 million.

The latest buzz about the painter is that he swiped his credit card to buy a Bentley. Apparently, he just walked into a showroom and saw a car that he liked and just swiped the card and bought it. Even the floor managers came running to see who it could be for even the Middle Eastern sheikhs buy Bentleys on instalments.
