IHIF Young Leader Award 2010 Goes to Maltese Roderick Micallef

International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Young Leader Award 2010 is conducted in order to bring to notice the efforts and efficiency shown by young people in the hospitality industry.

Usually people in the hospitality industry are aged, and when I say this, I mean those at the top level. However, things have begun to change and one can see a lot of youngsters under 35 showing their immaculate managerial proficiency and professionalism.

International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Young Leader Award 2010 is awarded to recognize these abilities to an emerging leader under the age of 35, and is given only to those who are citizens of a European country. This year, the award was given to thirty-three-year-old Maltese national, Roderick Micallef, acting general manager and director of finance at the CHI Hotels & Resorts (CHI) who operates the five-star Corinthia Hotel Lisbon in Portugal.

The award is co-sponsored by IHIF and the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC). ISCH chairman Angelos Loizou presented the award to Mr. Roderick Micallef in Berlin, Germany. If you would like to win this award, you better prove your leadership qualities in the hotel you manage or run!
