The Hotel Schweizerhof Bern has been reopened in Switzerland, by Qatari Diar Real Estate an Investment Company. The one hundred and fifty year old luxury hotel which had served star guests such as Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly and Peter Ustinov, has reopened for Switzerland’s visitors.
CEO of Qatari Diar, Ali Al-Hedfa, was present in the opening of the event along with Bern Alexander Tschappat, the Mayor of the city and AG Bruno H. Schopfer, the director of Swiss Management. The grand reopening was also attended by Ursula Andres, a Hollywood legend and other famous personalities from different walk of life such as culture and entertainment, politics, and business.
The legendary hotel situated at the centre of Swiss capital is a great achievement on the part of Qatari Diar with the commitment towards luxury development. CEO of Qatari Diar, Al Hedfa, is very keen to continue the relationship with the city in future also.
MKV Design agency has designed the interiors in a contemporary modern style. The furniture is restored from the golden era of the hotel, and has been incorporated in the decoration of the hotel. The hotel features 99 rooms and suites, a ballroom, conference and business centre, and wellness centre by the end of 2011. The five star hotel provides world class service combining both traditional luxury with contemporary themes. Qatari Diar is currently working on more than 35 projects in 20 countries.
