Hotel Nacional de Cuba Offers Luxurious Rooms and a Great Hispanic Experience

The historic luxury hotel, Hotel Nacional de Cuba, is located on the Malecón in Havana. It was opened on December 30th, 1930 when Cuba was a major travelling destination for Americans.  Some efforts were done to restore and preserve its grand architecture, which is the mixture of Art Deco features and modern influences.

Several films have been shot using this hotel and illustrious guests have been photographed. Writers, artists, athletes and actors such as John Wayne, Ava Gardner, and Ernest Hemingway have stayed in the hotel.

The staff is courteous and professional the 457 rooms are large, clean, with AC having a great view of Malacon.

The hotel has lifts; to relax and freshen up there is an amazing swimming pool, a steamy Sauna and several fitness rooms. The famous Bar at the hotel has been in the limelight for decades!  You could visit the cigar factory behind Capitolio , a pub in the old square, or choose to walk in the old town. Another activity would be to enjoy watching- people, and a lot of beautiful buildings along the busy street. The next time you are in Cuba, think about Hotel Nacional de Cuba!
