Hotel Lutetia Celebrates 100 Years Of Excellence

Art, literature, history, jazz, treat and secret is what the grand Lutetia Hotel has in store for its centenary celebrations. The four rotonde suites, fully furbished have been converted into real art galleries with 4 contemporary photographers exhibiting their work in the guest rooms: Eliott Erwit of the United States, Vik Muniz for South America, Keiichi Tahara for Japan and Mimmo Jodice for Europe.

The Saturdays are booked for literature where authors’, themes and works are highlighted through readings performed by experienced actors. Moreover there will be reading lounges devoted to youth as well as reading workshops. The history of the hotel is retold in “Lutetia”, the first book ever penned on this grand hotel. With its portraits, history and anecdotes this book is the best tribute to an establishment set in the heart of Parisian culture. Along with all this, Lutetia’s piano bar is doing jazz every evening from Wednesday to Saturday, and on May 21 the hotel will host Andre` Caccarelli for the St. Germain jazz festival.

Further to celebrate its 100 year anniversary Hotel Lutetia and the Taittinger Champagne House have joined to produce an outstanding vintage coming straight from listed “Grand Cru” vineyards. The best things amongst all is a chance to explore secrets of this intriguing phenomenon. A special guide called “Lutetia’s secrets” has been created, unveiling all of the hotel’s secrets as well as a many anecdotes. A private tour of the hotel’s concealed places is conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
