Hilton Group Announces the Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel

Scotland’s first Waldorf Astoria will open in Edinburgh, and there are many reasons why the Hilton Group might have chosen Edinburgh as the location. Firstly, Edinburgh has been consistently ranked more than Glasgow, the other major city of Scotland. Also, Edinburgh has been consistently ranked as a European Capital of Culture, and that is because a lot of tourists come in droves to the city to enjoy the art, music and culture scenes.

The hotel would cost a total of £24m and it would be called as the Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel. This would come in place of the Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh after a multi investment programme. There would be several additions and improvements including public spaces, rooms, spa and restaurant. The hotel would stand apart due to its distinct character, location and charm. This announcement comes soon after they launched the London Syon Park, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has more than 24 destinations worldwide and I am sure whoever visits Edinburgh will now prefer to stay at the revamped hotel. Hilton has 15 properties in Scotland and that includes Hilton Glasgow, Hilton Garden Inn Aberdeen City Centre and Doubletree by Hilton in Dunblane. I would say, you should visit Scotland to enjoy the beauty of the highlands, and also the vibrant culture and art scene it provides. So go ahead, and enjoy the scene of Edinburgh! This could be the best place to enjoy what could be the most luxurious hotel in the city of Edinburgh. Check out luxury manifesto.
