The renovated and expanded wine shop of Harrods opened on Tuesday. The 7000 sq/ft space accommodates an aroma zone, tasting bar, events room and a fine wine vault. The section accommodates about 230 different champagnes showcased under bright lights. Alistair Viner will expand the wine range to almost 3000 lines. The spacious Enomatic area is air conditioned and its glass cased wine vault enables to display first growths, and the old rarest wines collections.
In the previous store,Viner struggled a lot without much space to display the rare collections. However, there is now enough space to keep a Chave Cuvée Cathelin collection with its all vintages and other wines from all over the world. Whether a customer buys a wine of 7.95 Pounds or 795 Pounds, they serve all the customers with equal attention. The shop is highlighted with bright light and modern facility; extra more space would be its selling tool.
Their plan is to create a more spacious tasting area and provide with charcuterie and cheese from Food Hall.. The Wine shop consists of a cigar selling unit and a spirit. The Viner’s future plan is to have separate rooms for conducting wine courses and also host winemaker dinners.
