The “Party at the Park” is happening on Saturday, June 26 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening of the 58,000 sq. Feet “green roof park” on top of the enclosed garage of The Millennium at Metropolitan Park. Karen A. Kossow, Vice President sales and marketing for Kettler Management who provide comprehensive property management services for the Millennium and the Gramercy located next door, said that a variety of fun activities have been planned for the occasion including Arlington’s Top Dog Competition which will be on full swing the entire afternoon.
She added that these community events are great opportunities to showcase what apartment communities offer. The event will help raise funds for the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation who will receive the proceeds from the sale of beer and wine at the event. Junk Food, Shag, Furious George, Road Soda are amongst the several bands that will perform throughout the afternoon.
The garden opening celebration will feature a 21-and-over beer garden, food from local vendors, pet adoption opportunities from the Lost Dog and Cat Foundation and several other activities. The Washington D.C. metro area’s guide to music , entertainment, nightlife and culture , On Tap, is partnering with the Millennium on “Party at the Park”.
The Millennium at Metropolitan Park is located at 1330 South Fair Street and The Gramercy is immediately next door. These are the first apartment buildings in the greater Washington area.
