Golden Eye Hotel & Resort Opens on a Fully Renovated 52 Acre Estate

Golden Eye Hotel & Resort the newly opened Island Outpost property in the village of Orcabessa Bay on Jamaica’s North Coast is best known as the home of author Ian Flemming. It is right here that he created the iconic James Bond character and penned all fourteen novels. Writers, musicians and even heads of state have frequented the Outpost for decades. Chris Blackwell, the owner of Golden Eye and who has undertaken the latest renovations on the property is sure to continue this trend.

The property is spread on a 52 acre estate and has a total of 22 units that include private villas, cottages and suites. You can choose the location with options near the beach or the lagoon. Two new restaurants have come up on the estate. Bizot Bar is a casual hangout where you can enjoy the beach and the Gazebo is an all day lounge situated low on the Cay. Menus at both the places are based on traditional Jamaican cooking style.

The FieldSpa at the Golden Eye is located on the lagoon and offers a wide range of relaxing and uplifting beauty and body therapies. Jamaican Olympic tri-athlete Iona Wynter is there to teach you a thing or two about fitness. And the access to the Golden Eye has become better and more convenient with the opening of the Ian Flemming International Airport commenced just last week, which is located just 10 minutes away from the resort.
