Go wild with Valentino’s tees!

Recently, the name Valentino which evoked layers of crimson silk and chiffon came out with luxurious t-shirts.

Heavily priced between $590 and $1,980 these t-shirts are better categorized as blouses. Valentino’s couture born  in 1959 focused single-mindedly on the dressiest moments of a woman’s life. Worn by Meryl Steep in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, the brand has legions of loyal ladies. The cocktail dresses usually start at $2,000 upto couple of thousands of dollars.

The new design heads behind Valentino are Maria Garzia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. The duo have been working for over ten years now and learning the in’s and out’s of couture techniques. They claim to have come up with a balance between the glamorous gowns and customers who don’t need red carpet gowns.

Usually we consider t-shits as casual wear and cheaply priced. But mind you these t-shirts are not cheaply priced.  Valentino’s stores are currently carrying ten different styles with more to come from season to season. These t-shirts or blouses are beautifully made in chiffon with sequins cascading like a waterfall down from the front of one tee and strips of tulle and crinoline turn another top with a frothy layer cake. The first success was a t-shirt sold at around $360 at Colette Paris during Couture week in February.

Time to mix your gorgeous gowns with these exquisite blouses.
